7cb1d79195 The journey of two strangers-a jobless carefree man,and a woman with whom he has fallen in love. Upon the woman's request, he drives her to Mumbai, while a group of gangsters follow them, planning to kidnap the woman. Karthi (Shiva), an engineering graduate with an attitude, is on the look out for a job. He does not seem to be much serious in seeking employment while his friends try their best to settle him. He spots Tamannah (Charu) in a bus stop and it is love at first sight. He finds her on a couple of occasions later and in fact misses an interview in her pursuit. Destiny seems to have something good waiting for him and he gets to spend the most beautiful phase of his life, giving her a ride in the car while waiting to pick the owner of the car at the railway station. Life takes an exciting turn from this point for Karthi who accepts to drop her in Mumbai and thus begins Paiyaa's journey of romance, action and emotions on a highway with a few turns, some with caution and some without. I saw this movie recently in Telugu and loved it…It was a Fresh story and an Awesome silent love story…. loved it for its simple treatment and its awesome Music….<br/><br/>Karthik was awesome in the role of an Engineering graduate who falls for a simple girl whom he sees on the road, a true example of Love at First Sight…. Tamanna has never looked so beautiful and her styling was awesome, she has come a long way since Happy Days and her performance as Charu was awesome… Milind Soman dint had much scope to act in this movie..<br/><br/>Music is the biggest highlight of the movie and the songs were presented wonderfully on the Screen especially the "Aray Re Vaana" and "Nee Yadalo"… Aray re vaana had wonderful dance steps and they were wonderfully synchronized with the music and lyrics of the song… Yuvan Shankar Raja rocks… Hats off…<br/><br/>The Direction was awesome, This was my first Lingusamy movie after watching this I became his fan and would love to watch his movies…<br/><br/>Music…. 10/10, Performances… 8/10, Overall…. 8/10… The Hero plays the role of a cheap wannabe road thug with a smirk attitude. He then spots the heroine and is infatuated by her looks. He is so desperate to get to her that he leaves his interview and follows her. And just like every other Tamil movie the heroine needs his help all of a sudden. She asks him to drive to numerous places and the guy obeys her every command like a dog.<br/><br/>The movie is full of plot holes. One example. Some baddies are in the railway station so she orders her dog (the hero) to drive to another place and the baddies automatically take the road route. She could have easily slipped into the huge train without noticing or even taken the next train but somehow the baddies know that she has taken the road.The movie, like most Tamil films portrays men as desperate,thirsty dogs who will do anything for a beautiful girl.<br/><br/>Boring,generic,cheap and mind numbing.My message to Tamil movie makers is - Please stop insulting our intellect by making such films. 1/10
